FREE ADVICE: Support Your Rapping Writers + The Art Of Shouting Out Rappers

| Thursday, November 06, 2008

Hey guys,...I know all of you have been dying for the return of my sick ol' writing skills. I just came back from the mixtape awards CMJ showcase. I got to meet Joell Ortiz, kick it with legendary Juice crew emcee Craig G, and also spit bars with Charles Hamilton, (that new guy)

Let me tell you he is not shy at all and was like..."Yo, your name is dope, spit something for me!"

(I'm thinking like dude, you are mad young small and ...well i'll take a pic with you...word your uber famous!) <----------- sike

You don't see that much anymore. He was just hanging out in the general "hanging out" area by the front entrance (Public Assembly is the old Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg BK). And now, I completely support Charles Hamilton. He is hungry and developing his people skills. I like that! His friendly demeanor won over lots of people and definitely will earn him a profile at my other blog (Everyone Is Jewish)

So for those of you who don't know, I have an LP out and its my frist one ever. It was done with C-Rayz Walz and its called Freestyle vs Written

Now as a write of my own info and following, which I have really been late on starting, inquired with Foundation magazine about how gangsta I needed to be to get in their magazine.
Now I realize, there are over 5000 rappers that act and sound the same, tryin to get in to this mixtape magazine. There is only one or two guys who actually wanna write for them! My smoothness got me an interview and freestyle.

In other news, I was backstage with Craig G, like I said before. I ran into Emilio Rojas (a good "quick" rapper) and Statik Selektah (who knows me...and likes my 'Oy Vey' sticker) Also, was Donny Goines, soon to embark on stage with DJ J-Ronin. This dude (DG) is a good writer and also raps pretty well. (There is something about this generation that uses first and last name---Donny Goines reminds me instantly of Danny Glover with a quick take at his name)

Donny asked how the record was... I said Fun?
He said "I saw something in URB magazine about it. A review"

So here it is. A late night Google of myself found it. Support your rapping writers. Also...umm..Emilio Rojas, Dj J Ronin, Charles Hamilton,Craig G, Joel Ortiz, Statik Selektah... Thats "the art of shoutin out rappers."

You better respect Charles Hamilton, you both are blogger/rappers.

That Freestyle vs Written concept would have been better if C-Rayz blogged or you had Charles spitting off the head on it.

If someone asked you how your record is, all you can come up with is "Fun?" LOL You better sell the fuck out of it and hype it up, man!

my record it eb omb diggy and everyone will hurry up and buy...i never met charles hamilton but he was an eager kid to learn...
he wanted to learn super hard.
he was spitting rhymes with everyone...joelle ortiz is a rappers rapper...no girls in crowd..he was just rappin hard

now...freestyle vs written is a legendary album...yep..it is ....and im recording anew one next week as well...but this will be pushed heavily this whole year...we sold like 1000 copies already...and tahts coool..i think itll steadily sell mroe and more as more stores pick it up...independent as fudge pop what the blood clot..
its been dowloaded by atleast 5-10,000 people...so..atleast we got street credit..which we all know is worth mad mad mad mad yo

as far as spell credit..checking...i finshed with an english degree from rutgers

Thats too bad Kosha, you should have talked to young blood, he obviously has a lot to say.

Like I said earlier, you both walk the same lines, so i think you two could team up on some super group shit.

Weird thing is I heard about you for your rapping first, while I discovered Charles blogs first.
